Wild Wisdom™ connects wildlife stories with the everyday experiences of growing up.

Created by veterinarian, conservationist and mother Dr. Tiffany Ruiz, each experience introduces a remarkable species and invites children to explore a related life skill—from cooperation and perseverance to understanding feelings and respecting boundaries.

Along the way, children discover what these animals need, the challenges they face, and meaningful ways to help protect them.

Learning about ourselves. Learning to care for the wild.

Discover the power of animal-guided emotional learning

How Wild Wisdom works:

Boy Reading Book

Meet the Animal

Children meet endangered animals whose real behaviors model powerful life lessons.

Girl Coloring

Build Emotional Skills

Discussion prompts and activity pages help children reflect and practice skills like embracing change, cooperation, and patience.

Elephant Close-Up

Conservation Connection

Each animal’s story connects to real conservation challenges and ways kids can help.

Kids Cleaning Outdoors

Compassionate Action

Children are encouraged to take small actions that protect wildlife and the planet.

Orangutan Close-Up

Their favorite animal

could open a whole new conversation.

Children are naturally curious about animals. That curiosity gives us a place to begin.

A story can invite a child to talk about something they find difficult. Learning how animals cooperate can spark a conversation about helping others.

Discovering the challenges a species faces can turn “I love that animal” into “What can I do to help?”

Wild Wisdom builds on those moments, giving families and educators ways to connect animal learning with everyday life.

A story. A connection. A chance to make a difference.

Children won't just learn about wildlife

they will learn from them and become inspired to protect them.

The animals in Wild Wisdom have lives and needs of their own.

Each experience includes accurate animal information and introduces the challenges facing wildlife and their habitats. Connections to human life are invitations to reflect, while making room for the ways animals experience the world differently from us.

Our goal is for children to leave with greater understanding of themselves, curiosity about wildlife, and a practical sense of how to help.

Understand them. Respect them. Protect them.

Bring Wild Wisdom to your community.

Wild Wisdom was developed for families, educators, zoos, and conservation organizations that want to connect children’s curiosity with compassionate action.

We welcome conversations about:

  • Stories and activities for educational programs.

  • Family learning experiences and community events.

  • Camp, classroom, and humane education activities.

  • Materials that extend learning beyond an animal encounter or visit.

  • Collaborations connecting children with conservation efforts.

Together, we can explore an approach that fits your audience, setting, and educational goals.
